Two Top of the Table Matchups

  1. Napoli vs. Inter Milan – Stadio San Paolo, Naples

Monday, November 30th – 3:00 pm EST on beIN Sports

The two hottest teams in Italy square off in Naples as Napoli hosts Inter.  These two teams are on top of the Serie A table and the winner will take the top spot going into December.  They have the best defenses in the league and are both on long unbeaten runs.  Napoli is unbeaten in 12 games; meanwhile Inter is unbeaten in their last 7.  Neither team has conceded a goal in a while either.  Inter has kept a clean sheet in their last 4 games, while Napoli has gone 7 games without conceding.  Higuain and Insigne have been the best two players for Napoli this season with a combined 17 goals and 6 assists.  Icardi and Jovetic have been the stars for Inter Milan.  Look for both teams to attack and test these great defenses.

Betting Odds

Match Result – Napoli 4/6, Inter 9/2, Draw 11/4

First Goalscorer – Higuain 10/3, Gabbiadini 9/2, Insigne 5/1

My Pick – Napoli 2, Inter 1: Goals by Higuain, Insigne, and Callejon

James’ Pick – Napoli 3, Inter 2: Goals by Jovetic (2), Perisic, Higuain (2)

  1. Leicester City vs. Manchester United – King Power Stadium, Leicester

Saturday, November 28th – 12:30 pm EST on NBC

In a surprising top of the table clash, Leicester City hosts Manchester United.  The foxes of Leicester are on top of the table after 13 games.  Leicester has won 3 games in a row and four of their last six games.  Jamie Vardy has been the top man after he tied Rudd van Nistelrooy’s record of scoring in 10 straight games.  Can he make it 11 in a row?  United comes into the game having won 3 out of their last four games after they drew their last game in the Champions League.  The questions surrounding their attack remain while their defense is the best in the league.  Leicester starts a really tough run of games in which they will either hold their top spot or they will fall off.  Look for United to possess the ball and Leicester to try and catch them on a counter.  If Vardy can get free, look for him to score.

Betting Odds

Match Result – Leicester 21/10, Manchester United 11/8, Draw 12/5

First Goalscorer – Vardy 9/2, Martial 11/2, Rooney 6/1

My Pick – Leicester 1, United 1: Goals by Vardy and Martial

James’ Pick – Leicester 1, United 2: Goals by Mahrez, Martial, and Mata

  1. Bayer Leverkusen vs. Schalke 04 –  BayArena, Leverkusen

Sunday, November 28th – 11:30 pm EST on Fox Sports 1

Schalke have been one of the coldest teams in all of Germany, but this week they will get a chance to rebound against Bayer Leverkusen.  These two German teams sit right on the edge of the European places and are both in danger of missing out next season.  Leverkusen won their last game out and will look to build on that win.  Schalke has not won any of their last 4 games, including losing their last two games.  For Leverkusen, Javier Hernandez has been a revolution scoring 6 goals this season.  Leroy Sane and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar have been the biggest threats for Schalke with 4 goals each.  This should be a very interesting game with Leverkusen looking to take advantage of their home field.

Betting Odds

Match Result – Leverkusen 8/13, Schalke 17/4, Draw 16/5

First Goalscorer – Kiessling 15/4, Hernandez 4/1, Mehmedi 5/1

My Pick – Leverkusen 2, Schalke 1: Goals by Hernandez, Mehmedi, and Sane

James’ Pick – Leverkusen 2, Schalke 1: Goals by Calhanoglu, Bellarabi, and  Huntelaar

  1. Sevilla FC vs. Valencia – Ramon Sanchez Pijzuan, Seville

Sunday, November 29th – 2:30 pm EST on beIN Sports CONNECT

At the start of this season, pundits thought that these two teams would be challenging for a top four place.  Both qualified for the Champions League last season but have really struggled this season.  Sevilla will not qualify for the group stage and Valencia is in danger of missing out.  Their Champions League form has matched their league form.  Both teams are looking to string some victories together as they have really faltered.  Valencia has been unsuccessful in Sevilla, not winning a game in their last 14 games in Andalusia.  Sevilla meanwhile has lost two games in a row.  Look for both teams to take some chances and look for three points that could really help their campaign.

Betting Odds

Match Result – Sevilla 3/4, Valencia 10/3, Draw 3/1

First Goalscorer – Gameiro 7/2, Immobile 11/2, Llorente 6/1

My Pick – Sevilla 2, Valencia 2: Goals by Konoplyanka, Llorente, Bakkali, and Alcacer

James’ Pick – Sevilla 1, Valencia 2: Goals by Konoplyanka, Feghouli, and Alcacer

  1. Marseille vs. Monaco – Stade Velodrome, Marseille

Sunday, November 29th – 3:00 pm EST on beIN Sports CONNECT

Two teams from the Mediterranean coast meet as Marseille hosts Monaco.  Both teams have really interesting home and away records.  Marseille is better away than at home, and Monaco is better away than at home.  This should favor Monaco this weekend, despite them losing two of their last three games.  Marseille has turned their form around slightly since they have won 5 of their last 6.  Marseille will rely heavily on Michy Batshuayi and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.  Monaco has a long injury list and Jeremy Toulalan will also miss the game with an injury.  Look for Marseille to try to capitalize on the current run of form. It should be an open game with lots of opportunities for teams to score.

Betting Odds

Match Result – Marseille 19/20, Monaco 3/1, Draw 5/2

First Goalscorer – Batshuayi 10/3, Alessandrini 13/2, Ocampos 7/1

My Pick – Marseille 1, Monaco 1: Goals by Batshuayi and Moutinho

James’ Pick – Marseille 2, Monaco 0: Goals by Batshuayi and Alessandrini
